Topic: Natural products, mostly secondary metabolites with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer and antibacterial properties, play an important role in the treatment and prevention of human diseases. Marine organisms, particularly marine algae, have attracted great attention of medicinal chemists in the field of drug discovery due to their diverse chemical structures and bioactivities. This talk will focus on the isolation of the bioactive marine compounds and its structural elucidation.
