1. Tell us a bit about the work you are/will be doing at CCMAR.

I will be studying the impacts of plastic in marine ecosystems. More specifically, I will be assessing the impacts and prevalence of plastic contamination on intertidal species and sediments, with a special focus on precious Ria Formosa.

2. What were you doing before you rejoined us?

I was working as a nature guide in the Azores, where I did coasteering trips. Coasteering is a really fun activity where you have an amazing direct contact with the rocky shore ecosystem, by progressing between the rocks and the waves while free climbing, cliff jumping and snorkeling.

3.  What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love to spend my time in nature, and exploring the different shapes it takes! So I like to do outdoor activities, like canyoning, trekking, scuba diving ... or just silently contemplate a good landscape. When the weather suggests some time indoors, I like to play with creative activities like joining body and dance labs, painting, sewing, and writing.
