Our researchers are raising awareness about ocean at the Mais Magalhães Mais Mundo event
This year marks the 500th anniversary of the departure of Fernão Magalhães expedition. Within this theme, CCMAR was invited to participate in the Mais Magalhães Mais Mundo session, in Lisbon at the Pavilhão do Conhecimento, today 20th September.
Our researchers João Cardoso and Rute Martins are present at the event and representing our center. They have a stand with two activities for the public: "The cycle of life in the ocean" and "A plastic sea".
This initiative aims to show the public the new environmental challenges that society has to face and how knowledge will help us to face them. The event was organized in collaboration with the Estrutura de Missão para as Comemorações do V Centenário da Circum-Navegação.
Throughout the day, RTP will be streaming a live program, where it will regularly visit the researchers' stands. Stay tuned!
