During my formative years I have grown from a multidisciplinary environment, getting  competences in a wide range of areas of marine biology, ecology, biotechnology, fisheries, aquaculture and sedimentology. I have contributed and at the same time improve my professional experience in planning and execution of field work, samples analysis at the laboratory and calibration of scientific instruments. 

During my training I have collaborated on different studies using molecular techniques in biology, as DNA extraction, PCR amplification and electrophoresis. I performed different types of sediment analysis, especially particle size and organic matter determination, and additionally I have done elemental composition colour determination. mineral identification analysis, isotopes and determination of pigment contents.

In 2011, I have performed an internship as a bachelor student at the Aquarium Roquetas de Mar's during 3 month. Along this period I developed and gained skills on maintenance and cleaning of aquarium:  water quality (pH, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia and dissolved oxygen), filter and tank cleaning, aquarium animals feed and care.  Additionally I had the opportunity to get aquarium diving skills, such as maintenance, cleaning and animal feeding. During my internship period, I was also involved in thematic educational activities and communication of the Aquarium.

In 2015, I was working as volunteer research assistant of the MARESMA research team at CCMAR, Universidade do Alagarve. During this period I have being working on different aspect on the maintenance and care of adults and juveniles of Holothuria arguinensis at Ramalhete Marine Station. I also collaborate in a mesocosm experiment of feeding ecology and growth of juveniles. During this period I have cultured microalgae and diatoms, and I prepared the growth medium. I also have performed water and sediment samples analysis, similar to those required for this work. I also collaborated in equipment and sampling preparation, and performance of sea cucumbers' sampling by scuba diving and snorkel in Spain and Portugal.

Finally point out, my professional experience gained during these last two years as Msc research of the project CUMARSUR, "Sea CUcumber as new MARine reSoURce: potential for aquaculture “of Universidade do Algarve, I am performing the following activities: Laboratory manager: Planning and organization; Disposal of Laboratory Wastes; Preparation of reports and protocols; Inventory and purchase of laboratory equipment; Equipment calibration; Chemical organization. Security lockers; Preparation of material needed for field work; Sea cucumber sampling by snorkel in Ria Formosa (Portugal); Determination of chlorophyll, organic matter and granulometry on sediment samples; Analysis of water samples including pH, dissolved oxygen, nitrates, nitrites, phosphates, amonia; Maintenance and surveillance of breeders and juvenils of holoturia arguinensis; Microalgae and diatoms production to feed the different stages of sea cucumbers; DNA Extractions.
