I am a committed, highly skilled, and accomplished researcher with over 11 years of experience in aquaculture and marine sciences, including a successful PhD project in Marine, Earth, and Environmental Sciences, with specialization in marine science, that I concluded in April 2023 having received multiple awards. I collaborated as a team member in several aquaculture projects, related to the use of aquafeeds to improve fish health, fish physiology and fish welfare, including (1) INUTR (Ref. 21595), (2) ALISSA (Ref. ALG-01-0247-FEDER-003520), (3) ARRAINA (Ref. 288925), (4) AQUAVALOR (Ref. 31-03-05-FEP-0060), a pilot project, (5) WELFISH (Ref. 16-02-05-FMP-12) and (6) my PhD project ALLYFISH. With these collaborations I contributed to the development of the research team at the Aquagroup at CCMAR. Besides the analytical research of the projects, I was also involved in the management of Aquavalor, Welfish and Allyfish.
I had the opportunity to teach researchers from the Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand, and a Master student from the University of Algarve to proteomics technologies. Additionally, I taught proteomic practical classes at the University of Algarve to biochemistry students, and in a workshop entitled “Proteomics and its Applications for Aquaculture” at the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica.
Co-responsible for the organization of 3 project workshops; (1) AQUAVALOR, with the presence of representers of the Portuguese Association of Fish Farmers; (2) ALLYFISH AND WELFISH, and (3) COST action farm animal proteomics conference held in Vilamoura, Portugal and 1 workshop on “Proteomics and its applications in aquaculture” which was held at the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica.
